Arts et metiers. To mark the bicentenary of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in 1994, the station was redesigned by Belgian comics artist François Schuiten in a steampunk style reminiscent of the science fiction works of Jules Verne.

This is a pretty much unknown spot of the Allt Dearg Mor, Isle of Skye. I hiked up and down the river to try and capture a unique waterfall foreground for the Cuillins in the backdrop. After roughly an hour of walking in the dark I found the right spot and I was rewarded with great colours in sky at sunrise.
Sunrise over Agafay Desert in Morocco - We woke up from our tent yawning. It was a nice pleasant day. Far away, we could see the silhouette of the Atlas Mountains with the sun shining behind them. Perfect way to start the day in the middle of no where.

This sunrise at the Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye, was something else. I have been trying to photograph this beautiful landscape for 6 times and I guess the 7th time was the charm. Despite the 80 knots wind against my face, I managed to capture this incredible scene of the Storr with a bunch of wild campers underneath that provided the perfect scale element.
We woke at the crack of dawn to take the jetboat along the Dart River in New Zealand. Though the road from Queenstown to the Dart River was circuitous, the views of Lake Wakatipu were fabulous. We briefly stopped at Bennetts Bluff Lookout to see this gorgeous view, while the sunrise lit up the sky in bright orange color.

Earlier this year, I spent 16 days rafting on the Colorado River through the heart of the Grand Canyon, a 280 mile journey in northern Arizona. This picture was taken from our campsite at river mile 73, in a section of the canyon known as the Furnace Flats. Good friends, great conversation, and a gorgeous Milky Way overhead—what could be better?
